BILL C-6 D-DAY?
A QUESTION OF FREEDOM.
The deciding vote for Bill C-6 will be held by Senate this week.
The Monday December 14th vote was postponed.
This means that Canada can continue making sure Senate knows
that they must think independently and not be forced or asked to
vote to 'toe the party line'. Senators must be allowed to consider.
The week of Monday December 14 2009 will be the decisive week.
We must continue, in this limited time, to communicate with Senators.
There are many of them who have understood our best interests.
There are many of you who've helped show Senators the dangers of C-6.
CNHC wants everyone, with all the information that is out there,
to draft their own personal letters and send, immediately.
Feel free to re-send historic letters you have written and adjust
them according to your response to recent developments.

SENATE REVIEW
Witness testimony came to a close on November 26 2009.
A clause by clause review started and finished on December 2 2009.
What is a clause by clause review?
The Senate Committee looks at each clause and will have to carry it in a vote
before moving on to the next point. Each clause may have an amendment. Each
clause may have attached observations. This could take anywhere from one day to
a few months. In this case, it took 3 hours. The Senate Committee will take back
their review to the rest of the Senators and let them know if they agree or
disagree with Bill C-6.

TAKE IT TO THE STREET.
OTTAWA RALLY WED NOV 25 2009.
OUR NUMBERS WILL ECHO OUR VOICES
A few weeks ago we asked the Standing Committee on Social Affairs to change the
date and wait to hear Shawn Buckley speak to Bill C-6 on our behalf.
The Senate received over 200 emails; and they waited.
Ideally, all of us and more should be outside of Senate’s hearing to show
that we're more than a click of a button. That we're real Canadians with deep
concerns about Bill C-6 and have given our voice to Mr. Buckley in our wish
that he speak for us.
We can’t all be there, but it’s vital that as many Canadians as possible, who
live in and around Ottawa, back this action up with their physical presence.
OTTAWA: HELP REPRESENT.
TAKE ACTION ON WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 25 2009:
Plan to arrive between 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM.
Stay on the street during the entire session.
Hold your placards high.
Talk to one another.
Listen to the speakers.
Talk to the media.
LOCATION:
Victoria Building at 140 Wellington Street in Ottawa
When you get to this link click on the A in the pink bubble and you'll be able
to see a street view of where you want to be. You'll need to click on and drag
the googlemap to the left and you'll see 140 Wellington Street. It’s actually
a really amazing feature.
Shawn Buckley will get there shortly after 3:30 PM.
If time allows, CNHC will ask that Mr. Buckley give everyone who has gathered a
short brief on the session after 6:00 PM.
Please circulate this among your entire database. Post it on your blog, on your
website, facebook it, tweet it, have it go viral now.
20 SEATS: There are 20 available seats at the session hearing in Room 2,
Victoria Building 140 Wellington Street. It’s first come, first serve. Leave a
spot for Senator McCoy!
RALLY SPEAKERS: Health Canada whistleblower, Dr. Shiv Chopra will be
accompanying Shawn Buckley while he is in Ottawa and hopes to address all rally
participants that afternoon.
Pierre Mathieu of the Fondation Liberté Choix Santé has confirmed that he is
attending.
Shawn Buckley will personally address the group if there is time before his
flight leaves Ottawa.
SUDDEN CHANGE?
It has come to CNHC’s attention that there have been changes in the members that
make up the Social Affairs Committee. Just last week Senator Tommy Banks, known
to oppose Bill C-6 has been replaced by Senator Jim Munson. Reports tell us that
Senator McCoy and Day, also both in opposition to Bill C-6, have been
marginalized.
AS IT HAPPENS.
WATCH THE SESSION: If you're unable to attend the rally you can listen
or watch the November 25 4:00 PM Bill C-6 hearing on LIVE via the
Senate Committee’s webcast.
But!
We need to have the physical numbers out on the street to show our
Government that there is strong opposition to Bill C-6. And for good reason.
READ SUMMARY OF BILL
C-6 DANGERS HERE AT NHPPA.ORG
OUR GOAL: To protect the rights and freedoms of Canadians. We must stop
external influences on our Government and ask them not to succumb to pressure.
To choose what they know is right for our country. Our own Government can
set a precedent for world leaders everywhere by having no fear and
keeping our sovereignty
As a constitutional lawyer, Shawn is uniquely qualified to speak to the Senate
Committee on the unconstitutional nature of Bill C-6.
This opportunity was the result of the actions of hundreds of concerned citizens
who wanted someone to speak on their behalf and trusted Shawn to represent them.
Each of you will represent for so many more of us that wish they could be there.
A rally sends a powerful message and ensures that we're heard.
Sending letters, emails, faxes and calling the Senators has been instrumental.
Now it's time to be seen and be on the street. It's critical that we back up
our chosen representative with our presence. Your numbers will reinforce our
message: We do not want Bill C-6!
VITAL SIGNS.
SIGNS AND POSTERS: We’re exercising a peaceful protest but that doesn’t
mean that we can’t convey our message with power. Below are a few examples of
some signs and posters you might consider taking with you to the rally. We need
placards (and you) to show the Social Affairs Committee that the Citizens of
Canada will not sit by idly while our rights and freedoms are stripped from us.
This will not only show the Committee how we feel but will also create greater
awareness. Make the signs.
SAY NO TO BILL C-6
SENATORS: PROTECT OUR RIGHTS & FREEDOMS
RULE OF LAW: YES. BILL C-6: NO!
MEDIA: Local media are being contacted to ensure that the message extends
beyond the rally site. But please, if you live in Ottawa, call all of the local
and national media news outlets to cover your rally and begin to write about
Bill C-6 nation wide. CNHC is picking up the phone and following up on emails
and faxes we have sent to the media. We suggest that you do the same. CNHC is
pressed for time so please help us and find newspapers or radio stations in your
area. Call each one to let them know a rally will be going on, the reason,
street address and time.
NOW WHAT?
BEYOND THE RALLY
The Standing Committee wraps up its review hearings on November 26th, the day
after Shawn’s testimony. This day has been secured for Health Minister, Leona Aglukkaq.
After proceedings have come to a close, there will be a clause by clause review.
The Senate Committee will look at each clause and will have to carry it in a
vote before moving on to the next point. Each clause may have an amendment. Each
clause may have attached observations. This could take anywhere from one day to
a few months. Once the clause by clause process is complete the Senate Committee
will take back their review to the rest of the Senators and let them know if
they agree or disagree with Bill C-6.
CNHC is confident in 2 things.
1. That right will trump wrong and Canada will remain free.
2. That Senate will Vote down Bill C-6 in its entirety.

48 HRS TO GET A CRITICAL MESSAGE TO 12 KEY SENATORS
Here's the issue: Bill C-6 is now being reviewed by the
Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs. Their job is to review Bill C-6 in detail, hear from witnesses and make
recommendations to the rest of Senators before the 3rd and final reading and
vote. This Committee will give the rest of the Senate a final analysis of Bill
C-6 based on what they have heard. But they will not have heard from Shawn Buckley.
And
by extension, us.
Shawn Buckley, constitutional lawyer and author of
the Charter of
Health Freedom, has been invited as 1 of the key 14 national witnesses to
appear before this Committee. That’s the great news.
To have him admitted to
this chamber is an honour. And now, for the bad news. It’s on a day, when he
will be in Federal Court. He is in a lock down at this trial for 3 weeks. He has
been hired to challenge the validity of a section in the Food and Drug act, and
show how the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms is being violated. It is an
unprecedented case and the Social Affairs Committee apparently, won’t wait.
As of Friday October 30th, the Committee has not given him another option to
appear.
NO SUBSTITUTES
It is imperative that he be allowed to give his testimony before this Committee.
We all know his perspective is absolutely essential and irreplaceable. There
is no alternative.
No one has spoken for us, for the Constitution.
We have only
tomorrow, Monday November 2 and Tuesday November 3 to let this Committee know
that the public wants Shawn Buckley
to represent us in Ottawa.
The first phase of the Stop Bill C-6 Emailing and Letter Writing Campaign was
successful. Many veteran and emerging Health Freedom groups, collectively,
created a division in the Senate to force a review in Committee.
We made an impact and had emails quoted in the Senate, so they are hearing
us.
THE BIG ASK
YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE AN EXPERT TO TALK TO THE SENATORS, THAT’S WHAT SHAWN
IS FOR!
All we have to do is make our voice heard. And that we want Shawn Buckley to
have the opportunity to truly represent our interests in detail.
Please take a few minutes to PHONE, EMAIL AND FAX your concerns.
It’s
really easy to do and can make a big difference.
There are 12 senators and 1
committee clerk. We must reach them all so please contact as many people from
the list below as you can! Our CNHC group is very active. Please GET YOUR
ACTIVIST ON today and again tomorrow.
It’s best to send short, strong and constructive written communication by email
or fax. This time we have to call because we can’t risk not being heard. Here is
a sample letter you can send as is, modify, or simply take some ideas from for
your telephone call. You have lots of information on the subject. We know you
can make this count.
Dear Senator ____________________ ,
Your Committee is now considering the approval of Bill C-6 which is a bill that
I have very serious concerns about.
I am disturbed to learn that the Committee has not re-scheduled to hear from
Shawn Buckley. I understand that he was offered a slot during a period of time
which he was previously scheduled to be in Federal Court and that he has been
denied the opportunity to be heard at a time when it is actually possible for
him to attend.
I feel very strongly that Mr. Buckley is a uniquely qualified individual who
truly speaks for the interest of Canadians. He is not only a Constitutional
lawyer but also the author of the Canadian Charter of Health Freedom, which is a
proposed legislation that nearly 40,000 Canadians have
signed a petition supporting, with hundreds more signing on every single
week.
I strongly believe that to proceed with your final analysis of Bill C-6 without
hearing from Mr. Buckley would be a grave omission. One that would have not have
heard from the voice of the Canadian public.
I urge you to hear from Shawn Buckley on November 25th, 2009.
Sincerely,
Your Name, City & Province Here
48 HRS TO PHONE, EMAIL & FAX
You can call the toll free line and ask for the Senator 1-800-267-7362 but
if
you can afford long distance then call the direct line to each
Senator’s office. Call all 13. Email all 13. Fax all 13.
THEN let CNHC know that you did.
Please help get Shawn Buckley to in front of the Senate Committee for the
Senators and the Canadian public.
